A Tasty Riddle (T-Shirt Challenge!) Part 3/9

Soo... when I bought this creamsicle shirt years ago (which is probably obvious given that it's faded like woah), I just really liked the colorful print. It wasn't until I had received it that I saw a cleverly masked riddle on its popsicle stick. For years, I had absolutely no idea wtf the riddle was. >_<

The other day, I had half a mind to Google it and the only joke I could find that closely matched the text was the following: "What is the difference between mashed potatoes and pea soup?" See if you can figure out the answer before looking it up. It's the lamest, most ridiculous answer in the universe. Haha. Are there other mashed potato jokes? I feel like I sleuthed this one pretty good, but you never know. ;)

OK. Now, then. Right. I'm looking like a total clown, today. Haha. I always feel like a gaudy jester when I wear bright colors. People slowed their gait and even paused to ogle. I know that bright colors have a tendency to look neon when worn by people with dark complexions, but you guys don't have to look so amazed. Haha. Geez. :F~ Anyway, whatever. I don't think you can go wrong with coral and sky blue. :D

It doesn't get any more summery than that! I hadn't worn the coral high waisted shorts since this past winter, so I'm super stoked to wear them again. They were brand new with tags in my Storenvy shop for more than a year. Lots of people added it to their favorites, but no one was brave enough to buy it. Hence, I got the waist taken in and kept it. I really want to lighten up my closets, though, you guys! I'm having a sale in my Etsy & Storenvy shops. :D Take my clothes, please! Don't make me keep them all!

The rest of the outfit is pretty self explanatory. Hehe. I just added some understated black almond toe flats and quirked up the outfit just a little bit more with a pair of light coral popsicle socks. :3

OK. Yep. That's it! Have a good weekend and stay out of trouble. ;)

Have you ever gotten hunger anger? I admit. I've gotten hangry quite a few times. o_O Hehe. For me, the symptoms range anywhere from folded arms and furrowed brow to somehow developing an acute ability to pick out everything that annoys me about my surroundings, including any poor sod who had the misfortune of being in the vicinity. It's not a good time, chaps. Bad show, indeed. :F~ ~

It happens to all of us, though. At least, that's what I like to think, because it makes me feel better about my embarrassing behavior. :F Anyway, I really loved this shirt the moment I laid eyes on it. It touches on something to which most, if not all, of us can relate. Also, I find it very convenient to already have an apology written and on display. Haha. Now, I can go somewhere on an empty stomach and be a total bitch about it. If someone gives me lip, I can just give a swift nod and point to the shirt. >;D~ Heh.
I also love that it's heather gray, because it will go with everything. It's so easy to dress up or down. <3

For this look, I decided to land somewhere in the middle. I paired the shirt with one of my favorite vintage floral skirts for a casual feel and then added a little more sophistication with the metal tipped lapels, fedora and vintage tassel loafers. I always feel like I'm wearing my dad's shoes when I wear these loafers, too. >_< If I don't wear socks with them, my heel will come out a bit when I walk. Narrow heels, tiny ankles and wide duck feet. All things I inherited from my father, incidentally. Oh and there's the nearsightedness, stork legs, monkey arms. Yep. Somehow, I manage to keep it all together. Hehe.

At any rate, it seems that I ended up with a style that is casual, comfortable, a bit masculine and a little cheeky. :D I think this is the kind of outfit that you could get away with wearing almost anywhere. As it turns out, I ended up wearing it to brunch and then for afternoon coffee at my favorite java joint. :P
