Blogger Spotlight #21: Noszę, Co Lubię

Meet Magdalena of
Noszę, Co Lubię

Picture

Magdalena is Polish and her posts are written in her native language, so I don't usually know the story behind her outfits. However, this type of language barrier has never stopped me from following someone's blog. I think that clothing can say a lot about a person and, in this regard, Magdalena's style speaks volumes
.

I discovered Magdalena in the way that I've discovered most of the blogs that I currently follow. She left a very nice comment for me on one of my blog posts. I went to her blog to thank her and to take a look around and I liked what I found. ^_^ I've been following Magdalena for  about one year and I've never been disappointed.

When you visit Magdalena's blog, you'll find that her style can be colorful, quirky, edgy and very creative. I love the way she plays with prints, shapes and patterns in her outfits. The angular dress on the left is rad sauce. I want it! <3

The cheerful and bright outfit on the right is another favorite.
If you're going to wear such a knock out dress, why not have an exaggerated floral crown in the same color scheme? I admire that kind of all-or-nothing attitude with bloggers.

There were so many outfits that I wanted to show, but I try to keep these features short and sweet, hence I intentionally limit myself to three.

So, I just want to draw your attention to the menswear inspired look below.
How impeccable is that?! I love the mix of granular fabrics and the fat power knot on the tie. *dying of envy* T_T

You never know what you will get from Magdalena! Every week is something new. So, you should definitely check out her blog when you can! You can follow her on Facebook, too!

Crescendo: eShakti Review

Sooo, my birthday happened and this is what I wore. :D My partner totally spoiled me with good food, strong drinks and alcohol infused desserts. Yeah. He knows what I likes. Hehe. Thanks, dude!

Since it was a special occasion, I decided to bring it hard. >:D~
I wore three different kinds of polka dot combinations: a red/white men's bow tie; a white/black sleeveless dress (yes, that's a dress!); and black/white socks (which you can't see, because they're a surprise, silly.) :P The suspenders, bow tie, palazzo pant trio brought me so much joy. The fedora and vintage men's tassel loafers made me feel even more masculine. The brown satchel added to the vintage theme I was going for and I liked the color contrast between it and the navy pants. This outfit is 100% me. I absolutely loved wearing it. <3

I told my partner that people might think that I'm transgender and that we're a gay couple and he laughed.
I love dressing like a dude and he's always been totally cool with it. Androgyny FTW! *^_^*

eShakti Review

When eShakti contacted me and asked if I would be interested in receiving a product to review, I was ecstatic. Last year, I purchased a modified chambray dress from them and it's one of the best fitting dresses that I own. I was stunned by how well the dress fit me. I was sold from that point.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to shop with eShakti, or anywhere else for that matter, since I'm in total money-saving mode.
So, I couldn't pass up the chance to try out another one of their products and, this time, I was able to have the product custom made!
*^_^* I've never had clothing made *just* for me. I didn't want to get another dress. Instead, I wanted to really put eShakti to the test and do pants.

My body proportions are insane, so I've always had a difficult time finding clothes that will fit me properly. Pants are the WORST. I always have a horrible gap in the back, because of my small waist and big derriere. This is why I have a preference for anything and everything high waisted.
When I came across these navy palazzo pants, I freaked out. They're high waisted; the color is seasonless so I can wear it all year round; and it looks so chic. I've always wanted a pair of wide legged pants.

Measurements & Fit

I filled out eShakti's custom measurements form, which included everything: total rise, inseam, outseam, low waist, high waist, etc. I have a short torso, so I knew that I wanted the pants to sit an inch above my navel. Even though my natural waist is 28 inches, my high waist is 26.5 inches. To give myself some extra room, I used 27 inches for the high waist measurement. I even used a pen on my stomach to mark how high I wanted the pants to sit on my waist. Needless to say, I crossed my fingers.

When I received the pants and put them on, they fit me *exactly* where I wanted them to fit. When I sat down, the back didn't pull or sag.
The lining inside is satiny smooth, so they felt like a dream. So comfortable! T_T I loved the way it flowed as I walked. I've never had pants fit me so beautifully. I wanted to cry. Yeah. I know, but that's how incredibly disappointed I've been with mass produced pants.

I mean, not everyone can fit perfectly into a size 6 or 8 or whatever. All of us have completely unique measurements. So, there's no substitute for having a garment custom made. Nothing can beat that! Of course, custom tailored clothing isn't cheap. For that reason, I haven't been able to indulge in it. So,
I'm even more grateful for this opportunity to see what it's like to have something specially made.

I'm sold on custom tailored clothing. If eShakti ever decides to offer custom made high waisted jeans, that would send me over the top. I'd just have to tell them to STFU and take my money. Haha. That would be incredible and, from my recent experience, I know it would be totally worth every penny.
^_^

I felt confident, well-put-together and chic in these palazzo pants and I really needed that on my birthday, because I've been feeling old like woah. Haha. They gave me another reason to smile. :3
