Such a classic! D'Angelo needs no introduction. Hehe. Everybody knows his greatness. :D The track above is an iconic RnB/Soul tune he produced in 2000. He got started around the mid 90's and quickly gained fame. He produced a total of three albums and a slew of singles and EPs through 2006. I don't think he has released anything new since the early 2000s, though he has been busy playing live shows. Be sure to check out his Facebook page for tour dates and other good stuff!

Definitely a go-to track for lazy Summer days and a perfect track to start the day, because it's my birthday ya'll! Awwww yeah. :DDD This is A1 on Les Hommes "Intraspettro" 10 inch from 2001. Based in London, the group began to produce music professionally in the late 90s. They released their debut EP, "Hommage" in 1999 and their debut album, "The Mood Is Modal," arrived in 2000. Since then, they've released just one other album called, "Les Hommes," in 2002. It doesn't seem like they've remained active past that date, as far as I can tell from my research. It's a shame, because they've got a hell of a lot of talent. I hope you enjoy this track! I've got lots more to share! Stick around! This track is a personal favorite and it's a perfect intro tune for this week of chill out, downtempo and lounge grooves. It's 4Hero's remix of a downtempo single by Azymuth from 1997. This Brazilian jazz/funk trio has been active in the music scene since the mid-70s and they continue to put out quality tunes to this day. A lot of their music has been remixed by greats such as Jazzanova, London Elektricity & Flytronix. I highly recommend checking out their discography and sampling more tracks! |
