Oh, hey! :D I've got one last song to share. It's from Anders Brixen Kristiansen's 2005 debut album, "Rockin." Not much is known about Kristiansen other than that he is from Denmark and that he has a love for electro and hip hop. Under the moniker, "Track 72," Kristiansen released a couple of singles in addition to the debut album mentioned above. Things seem to drop off for Track 72 after 2005, though Kristiansen has released music under different names through 2012. Click here to check out some of his latest releases as part of the group, Malk De Koijn. Have a great weekend! :D

Happy Friday! The weekend is finally upon us! Yes! :DDD I think you're going to like this jazzy tune! This track appears on William Holland's 2002 EP, "Through These Eyes / Life In The Rain." Holland is a multi-instrumentalist, DJ, mixer and producer from Britain. He formed the Quantic Soul Orchestra in 2001, the same year that he released his debut solo album, "The 5th Exotic." Holland remained quite busy, releasing numerous solo albums, singles and EPs alongside those he produced with his live band project, Quantic Soul Orchestra. It doesn't appear that Quantic Soul Orchestra has come up with anything new since 2007. However, Holland continued to produce music well into 2014. Holland's latest album is a soul and latin jazz collaboration with Alice Russel and The Combo Barbaro called, "Look Around The Corner" (2012). In 2014, he also released an EP called "Duvido" and a single called, "You Will Return." You can hear the single below. It's super upbeat and perfect for Friday! :D I had a hard time locating the album or EP for this song, so I'm guessing it's an unreleased single. It's so, so good. If you've never heard of the Visionaries, this track will serve as an excellent introduction! The group, which formed in the mid-90s, is comprised of six members: Alex Ocana, Dannu, James Kelly, Kikuo Nishi, Lord Zen and Nazareth Nirza. Together, they released four albums total and a slew of singles and EPs through 2008. Their debut album called, "Galleries," came out in 1997. Since then, the group has collaborated with greats such as Nas, Common, Mos Def and Blackalicious. The Visionaries' latest album is "We Are The Ones (We've Been Waiting For)" (2006). I like Track 5 from that album quite a bit, so I pulled that one for your listening pleasure. :D Check it out! It's one of those songs that is perfect for a rainy day, you know what I mean? ;P Check out the Visionaries on Facebook and stick around! I've got more hip hop queued up for tomorrow! |
