So happy to finally be able to share this track with you guys. I wanted to share it back in January of last year, but I couldn't find the full version, only a sampler from Beatport. This is one of my all-time favorite tracks from Don Verbrilli's "Many Coloured Butterflies" album of 2000. It's so damn brilliant and perfect. I never get tired of hearing this song. Here's something a little more upbeat from De-Phazz. This is a beautiful track sampling Ella Fitzgerald from the album, "Detunized Gravity" (2002). You'll like this one! Sit back, relax and enjoy! :D De-Phazz is led by German producer, Pit Baumgartner, who apparently changes out band members for every album. The more permanent members are Karl Frierson and Pat Appleton. The Detunized Gravity album created quite a stir and caught the attention of heavyweights like Amon Tobin. The group went on to produce 10 more albums and a slew of singles and EPs. Their latest album is called "Naive" (2013) and it contains 16 tracks of downtempo, future jazz and mambo goodness. It's a bit chilly for a pina colada, but this track makes me crave one. Haha. Definitely looking forward to summer. ;D Happy Wednesday! Be sure to check out De-Phazz on Facebook for all the latest! This is a fantastic track from Nicolas Chaix's early days. It's from the album, "Adore" (1999). Enjoy and be sure to check out my previous blog posts about Chaix for a short bio and additional tracks! |
