Song of the Day: Nectarios - Phoenix (Breaks)

I'm loving this track from Nectarios Meidanis's 2004 EP, "Phoenix." Meidanis produced music as "Nectarios" through 2007 before joining forces with Jordan Bonyo to create psytrance under the alias "Disco Hooligans" in 2009. It's unclear what if anything Meidanis is up to these days, but one thing's for sure: he produced some killer tunes as Nectarios. I've listened to this track on repeat half a dozen times, already. Scour the web for more Nectarios goodness! He's worth it! Enjoy and happy Friday! :D

Just kickin' it with some guilty pleasure 2-step grooves from Glamma Kid. ^_^ This track is a remix of a single Iyael Constable released in 1999. Such a classic! I'll always have a place for this on my iPod! :D

Song of the Day: Aquasky - Another Day (Breaks)

Hey! Happy Wednesday! This is one of my favorite tracks from Aquasky. It's a single they released in 2000 which appears on the "Out Patients" compilation. You gotta get this in your ears. Check it out!

Based in Britain, Dave Wallace, Kieron Bailey and Brent Newitt have been making music since the late 90s. It appears that the group's strength lies in the production of singles and remixes. You'll find their music on a lot of top notch compilations. I think the closest thing to an album that they've released is "Raise The Devil" from October 2011. It is comprised of some solo tunes, but mostly collaborations among Aquasky and other artists.  It's pretty rad! Here's an Aquasky solo from the album.

The group's latest release is "Make It Rain," a single produced for the Funtcase & Genetix 12 inch entitled "Bring The Ruckus" (May 2013). According to the Aquasky Facebook page, there's an EP in the works and it will likely be available in December of this year! So, keep an eye out for that!

For more tracks and downloads, check out the group's SoundCloud page. It's updated pretty regularly and you'll find some great mixes on there! Enjoy and keep checking back! I've got lots more to share!
