The next day, we woke up bright and early (if 10:00 AM could be considered bright and early heh) and headed out with the goal of making the most of the day before the next round of shows that night.
I decided to wear my oatmeal colored over-sized sweater. It's more of a Fall/Winter sweater. I packed it because I checked the weather in Portland the week before and it was in the low to mid-70's. However, on this particular day the high was 90 degrees! Insane. So, the sweater wasn't the most comfortable choice once the afternoon set in, unfortunately. Still, I made it work under the circumstances.
We did a lot of walking around and people watching. I found myself wishing that Portland had a bike share program. Apparently, they will in 2013. It's such a bike friendly town. I would love to explore it by bike. It's pretty easy to get around on foot, though. Trains and buses are fairly reliable and cheap.
